and i'm just a teen
is it so bad to say i've had it rough
i know there's a lot more to be seen
but for the moment i'd like to see past the tough

it's not a complicated story
actually i'm the complication
one day i'll come in glory
but first is the teen years of frustration

from a distant relationship with my father
to dealing with school, friendships, and boys
living with a hardworking single mother
and still live a life of joys

my life isn't entirely average
but certainly nothing ravage
