i've learned, experienced, and seen a great deal
not always pleasant
but i have progressed in every regard
the question comes to mind
what will the future bring?
where and under what circumstances
will i be next year at New Years?
It will soon be midnight
and a new year will begin
even if only by the calendar
i shall wait for it in my sleep
